Dunnet Forest Trust take the health of its employees, volunteers and forest visitors seriously. During this time of social distancing, accessible open spaces are going to play a vital role in the physical and mental health of everyone. The Trust have decided to take the following measures and would ask for your support during this time.
FOREST USERS - Follow the guidance on social distancing and observe the 2 metre rule. Please pay particular attention to this in the car park where space between cars is limited. When using the bins we recommend you wear gloves. If you don’t have gloves with you remember not to touch your face and wash your hands as soon as you return home.
LOG SALES - Log sales, with the approval of Highland Council, have now resumed; details can be found on the Log Sale page.
GREEN GYM - current members of the Green Gym are welcome to return.
During these uncertain times, here is some good news for forest users.
COMMUNITY BUYOUT - Dunnet Forest Trust is now the owner of Dunnet Forest. The purchase was completed using funding from the Scottish Land Fund and donations. Due to the current Covid restrictions, plans to celebrate the purchase have been postponed. The Trust continues to work hard to enhance and improve Dunnet Forest for the local community and visitors.
